On paper, the Trost Brothers’ dystopian comedy The FP has each of the trappings of An immediate cult classic: a loving sendup of ’70s and ’80s movies entire with absurdly costumed gang warriors, heaps of self-mindful slang, teaching montages, and reduced-stakes battles taken care of as daily life-or-Demise scenarios.
